Best Places for Shopping in Glasgow's West End

Shopping in the West End!

In Glasgow’s West End there are many stores varying in size, price and style. In this blog issue you will find 2 of my favourite shops to visit.

Downstair Design Co.

Located next to Kelvinbridge subway station is the Downstair Design Co. It’s an independent Scottish gift company who have stores in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Their main aim is to support local businesses meaning they sell a wide variety of gifts from smaller businesses such as Wild Olive, Essence of Harris and various Scottish jewellery makers alongside more well known brands Jellycat, Joma Jewellery, Chillies and many more!

The Downstair Design Co. has gifts for every occasion and take pride in their seasonal displays, meaning the store is always on trend and fun to visit. Prices in the store are also really reasonable and they have gifts for every budget.

Galletly & Tubbs

Located virtually next door to Downstair Design Co. on Great Western Road . You will find Galletly & Tubbs interiors, an independent Scottish lifestyle and interior design company. The store is beaming with colour and has items for every taste. Throughout the store they have a wide variety of contemporary, luxury and modern items whilst still being affordable.

They have different areas within the store all with items such as mirrors, wall art, cushions, furniture and other wee nicknacks which add personality and a cosy vibe. A limited amount of items can be found on the website however, I recommend visiting the store so you can immerse yourself in the vibe of the shop and look at the gorgeous products they sell.
