Websters Theatre

First up we have the Websters Theatre. Located on Great Western Road this venue and its grand exterior is hard to miss. Inside the venue you will find the theatre, a cosy bar as well as different rooms which can be hired for a variety of events!

With different performances on nearly every week there is always something to see, wether it be musicals, comedy performances, pantomimes, live music or children’s entertainment, there is something for everybody’s tastes. It is common that the performances are from local residents and focus in Scottish heritage and by attending these fantastic performances it is a great way to support the arts industry whilst also learning about Scottish history.

The theatre holds roughly 200 people meaning you are guaranteed a more intimate and snug performance unlike performances that can be seen in one of Glasgow’s larger theatres. Compared to the other theatres, ticket prices to shows at Websters Theatre are also very reasonable making it the perfect place to visit if wanting to go out in Glasgow on a budget.

The Stand Comedy Club is another venue to visit, located on Woodlands Road, it is somewhere you can be guaranteed to laugh. Providing food, drinks and entertainment, it is a top recommendation for a great night out.

With different Comedians on every night there will always be someone to see and support. Each night different shows are put on from comedians from different backgrounds and levels of experience. Performances are very affordable and prices vary,  staring from £5 for Tuesday’s open mic night (Red Raw) and prices can go up to £20 which will secure you a ticket to 'The Saturdays Show' with performances from Stand’s resident comedians.

The venue is the perfect location with Kelvinbridge Subway station being in walking distance and plenty on street parking nearby. The Stand Comedy Club provides smaller, more intimate performances meaning shows often sell out so booking is advisory to avoid disappointment.
